Absolutely zero forgiveness in pickup times. Even when you're less than 5 minutes past and can SEE people still inside they refuse to answer, acknowledge, or allow you to pickup your pup. They'll even try and hide from view of the front window and promptly send you the extra boarding charge email after you leave. Will never do business with them again.
You have to have bordetella every 6 months even if your dog has the yearly vaccination. They are nice but they told me my dog couldn't come back because he got out of his cage during lunch time....why am I paying $25.00 to have my dog in a kennel? I could have just left him home if I know they were going to be put in a cage. I dont know...they are really expensive. My other doggy day care place is $5.00 a day and they don't go in a cage AT ALL for daycare.

Canine connection came to us from a very positive reference and at first we were excited about their obedience training. We had found a stray dog and had been unable to find a home for it, so we decided that if we were keeping it we should get training. We signed up and attended only the first class (where you don't even bring the dog with you). Then, just a couple of days after the first class, we found a great home for the dog and decided it would be best for the animal to be in their care. We called Canine Connection to see if they'd possibly provide a refund or partial refund, and were told by the owner "We don't do refunds". We suggested she allow another pet owner that might not be able to afford classes to use our fee as payment. However, she would not allow that and said that IF we got another dog in 6 months, we could still take the class. Well if we wanted a dog, we would have kept the one we have. We are extremely disappointed that the owner would pocket our entire class fee after providing very little service for it, then show so little concern for other pet owners who might be in need. We found it to be a very shortsighted and greedy way to conduct business and does not reflect someone who has their clients interest at heart. They have not only lost our positive word of mouth, but we will make certain that all of our dog owning friends are aware of our experience. We are very disappointed.
We took our puppy shortly after we got her to the pre-training, socialization course (Puppy Preschool) and the Beginner Obedience course. The first course was very helpful for the puppy, allowing her a chance to learn from other puppies what she'd normally learn from her litter, such as not biting and that other dogs are OK. She also got used to new people that weren't from her own family. The second course was most helpful to us as owners and taught us how she perceives us and how to teach her. Canine Connection was a good choice since training is most of what they do, compared with a bigger retail store that offers training on the side. We intend to go back for more advance training in the future!
