I am greatly impressed with the facility, it cleanness, the friendliness of the staff and most of all with Neurologist Dr. Gottfried G Jean-Louis. He spent a large amount of time testing/examining me before making his recommendations. He was spot -on with his diagnosis and recommendations for my needs. He was friendly, as well as his staff, and he has a wonderful sense of humor. The Fayetteville VA Health Care System is blessed on have him on staff,

I've always heard bad stories about VA Hospitals but my experience was nothing but great here. I had appendicitis and had my fiancé drive me 3 hours to this hospital because I knew I would be covered. The pain on the drive there was the worst I had ever felt and all I could think about "how long will my wait time be"? When we arrived it wasn't bad at all and they admitted me immediately. The physician ran some tests and shortly after I was going back to surgery. The entire staff was really nice and knowledgeable when I had questions and the surgeon was great about explaining everything.
I consumed legal cannabis while in Colorado. I get get back and after testing positive (duh!, I mentioned ahead of time) was denied further treatment and refill of medication. Can't wait and take test again either. I did nothing wrong. Guess I'll just suffer until VA changes archaic, harmful rules which will probably be never.
After four days of low abdomen pain and misery, my local va clinic told me to go to fayetteville va hospital er. These people were great. Diagnosed diverticulitis with ct scan, gave me iv of antibiotics and pills to take home. This va hospital was far, far better than the local er that I took my son to last year.
