Best in the region. The owner is a devoted indie bookstore advocate, and has stayed in business even as the industry has contracted to the point where many abandoned ship years ago. This may be the only indie bookstore in NWA, at least it was in recent years. The selection is smaller than it once was but the location is good and the staff is helpful. Let's hope they survive the downturn and come back stronger than ever!
Last year at the Bikes Blues & BBQ rally went there for there espresso. Were real friendly. Not this year. Real snotty and they will sell you just a cup of plain coffee. They are missing out on some good money..
Small local bookstore with coffee and space to sit and read. The bird room is a nice touch, and the owner is very friendly. The coffee can be hit or miss, but that's probably not the reason you visit anyway.
I stumbled upon this bookstore during a brief visit to Fayetteville. The staff was quite friendly, the book selection (though on the smaller side) was great, and the decor of the store itself is a book lover's dream. Add to that the fact that a cage of brightly-colored, chirping finches sits in the corner, and I believe it's safe to say I've found my favorite shop in Fayetteville. (Another noteworthy point: while browsing the shelves of books, I was surprised to see that a variety of books were signed by their authors.)
Cute, quiet (with birds merrily chirping in the background), and of course a fantastic selection of new and classic books. It's the platonic ideal of small local bookstore.
