I wish I could give Yeehawg a zero rating. A group of friends and I from Kansas came to visit a friend in AR over the weekend and we had the absolute worst experience here... and we never even made it past the front door. My group of friends is primarily minorities but one of us was white, and guess who the only person the bouncer let in was. You guessed it my Caucasian friend. He grabbed the rest of our IDs and told us we had fake IDs. Given I am the youngest of the group and I am 22, the rest of my friends are 24+. At this point we said that it's fine just give us our IDs back and we will go somewhere else because obviously he isn't familiar with KANSAS IDs. But this man wouldn't let go of our IDs. We end up waiting for the manager to come check our IDs and he shows the bouncer how to correctly identify that we have real IDs. The bouncer got upset and yelled a homophobic-slur to us (given we had 3 gay males with us) we were obviously upset that we had to experience this. We try to talk to the manager but instead of talking to us he physically pushes (not trying to harm us) us to the sidewalk and tells us to get out of there. So I strongly urge everyone to go to any other bar on DICKSON Street. There is no excuse for what we experienced Friday night and having the manager support his employee who was obviously in the wrong was terrifying. Really any other one, later that night we had a great time at C4 nightclub.
Pretty much exactly what you'd expect if you want a stereotypical country bar with a mechanical bull. Nothing special or unique about the place or the drinks, but always crowded. Definitely popular just not my cup of tea
Bouncers can be little racial but drinks are reasonable priced.
This place definitely needs some more love in their hearts. I was yelled at and cussed at for asking to use the restroom a couple minutes after close. Multiple men approached me trying to push me out before I had even stepped into the building. A simple "sorry the restroom is unavailable at this time" would have worked but instead I was yelled at very loudly by the man behind the bar, and he cussed at me too. Then the security came towards me telling me to get out even though I hadn't stepped foot into the building yet. Very scary and uncomfortable being treated that way in my home town. I know you guys are new but show kindness to people, especially if they are only asking a simple question.
They have amazing drink specials throughout the week, but it's definitely not set up to be a dancing bar. I can't attest to the bouncer issues other people have had, but I keep coming back for the inexpensive drinks. There does seem to be inconsistency in drink prices depending on which bartender you go to, but when it's a difference between $1 and $3 for a Busch Light I'm not going to complain too much.
