Service can be hit or miss, but generally tends toward helpful. They have always been accompdating when I wanted to return a product. Products are expensive, but also tend to last for months of daily use. They have forgotten to give me a “free gift” that is supposed to accompany a product before, so be sure to mention such deals before you finish checking out. Tester stations are only located by premium products, and have not been stocked with tester brushes or makeup remover the last couple times I visited. Personal preference, but I don’t enjoy the general atmosphere, and get in and out as quickly as possible—which is no easy feat.
The lady on the floor at the moment was very rude to my friend and I. I believe this was because we were minors, for she was kind to every adult in the store. I swatched a product which was clearly opened, every single box of the product was opened. She came over to me with an attitude and took the product to the front where it would be promptly thrown away. She said something suggesting that I wasn't going to buy the product. But she was angry with us for swatching the product but never contacting us further to give us a tester. Usually a pleasant experience, not today.
I am a makeup artist who used to shop here regularly. A year ago the girls here were so sweet and helpful. Around fall of last year I guess they hired new girls who don't seem like they like their job very much. When I go in there I am never offered assistance and when I ask for it they seem exasperated to help. I asked for a foundation match and the girl didn't say a word. Just matched it and gave it to me. I was treated very rudely when making a return. There are two younger girls in here who are very sweet. I am never made to feel welcome here. The only reason I didn't give this place one star is because they sell shape tape. I've never left a review before on a business because I'm pretty patient, but it's really frustrating when you're made to feel unwelcome. Managers here don't seem to enjoy working either and it shows greatly. Other makeup stores and counters I've gone to go above and beyond to help. I honestly hate coming here but I have to for shampoo and the tarte shape tape. The employees at this store should observe the behavior of the lovely girls who work at the ulta in the promenade at Rogers.
If you like a world of beauty from make-up to perfumes to hair and nail accessories then this is your one stop shop. It also has it's own hair salon! I love to go in and look around and sample the products. The only downside is that some products can be a bit pricey for some. However, they do have good sales going on most of the time.
First time and won’t be back. I was running a few minutes late for my appointment & tried to call ahead to let them know, but no one answered the phone. Once I got there I waited at the counter for 10mins for someone to acknowledge me, at which point I was told there now wasn’t enough time to perform the service (I’m confident there would have been had someone been available when I arrived). I wasn’t even offered to reschedule an appointment. It was my fault for being late, but the way the salon is managed makes me question if they are even interested in getting or keeping business.
