TURN AROUND!! Unless you're into a strict list of rules and no fun when you go camping. Got woken up at 6:45 to make sure my harmless sleeping dog was on leash and since she wasn't got harassed and surveillanced all weekend by the attendants.
Great easy access campsite right next to the lake. Fairly clean bathrooms as far as campsite bathrooms go. It was a great place to camp for our young kids.
I absolutely love this place. The views are awesome. The area set me at ease. It's clean, safe, and just perfect for a short get away.
Rudest attendants EVER! We just brought our dogs down to spend the afternoon and BEFORE we could get the leash attached, guy with grey hair in a white truck FLEW up to us at a high rate of speed like we had just committed a felon and was telling us he did not want to have to fine us so we needed to put the dogs on a leash. He repeated himself THREE TIMES before I could tell him we were trying to get the leashes on the dogs that were STILL in our truck!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! This is not the first incident we have witnessed, the lady is rude too. I understand they have a job to do but we were not even in violation and we're being THREATENED, I would hate to see how they treat someone who actually breaks a rule!!. I WILL take this further up the chain but wanted to make anyone aware, if you have an alternate place to enjoy the afternoon with your family, I would suggest you take that route.
Wish I could give it zero stars. U have to pay $5 to get into the swimming area and can ONLY swim there. If u swim anywhere else you WILL be ran off. I will NEVER go back to lake weddington, to fish OR swim. Sad part is, it's 7 minutes from my house but screw that place. No pets, no alcohol on top of all the other issues with this crappy ran lake.
